Hello,
It’s Monday again, can you believe it? Honestly, time is going by so fast it’s crazy. But can we get a hallelujah for spring finally being here? Wuhuu!! In todays post, I’m going to show you how I did these sunset own nails. If you’d like to know how I did them or try to re-create them, keep on reading. Oh and by the way, these nails are 100% inspired by the amazing Tina from @tina_tech.
Start with painting one coat of a base coat of your choosing. I use the ‘Nail Repair’ one from PRO-FX. Paint two coats of a purple shade like ‘Lucky Lucky Lavender’ by O.P.I.
Once the nails are completely dry, take a sponge and a blue shade and create the gradient. The polish I’m using is ‘Can’t Find My Czechbook’ and it’s by O.P.I. Always start with a bit of polish on the sponge and then build the gradient up. It’s easier to add more polish than to remove some.
Apply a top coat to smooth out the gradient. I’m using the ‘Color Therapy’ one by Sally Hansen.
Take a brown polish and a thin brush and create the branches of a tree. The brown polish here is ‘Brownstone’ by NYC.
Next up, take a thin brush and a peachy shade like ‘Malibu Peach’ by Sally Hansen to create the owl shape on the branch.
With the same thin brush and a light green polish create leaves all over the branches. The green polish here is ‘Mint Sorbet’ by Sally Hansen.
Take a pink shade like ‘Get Juiced’ by Sally Hansen to create the wings of the owl. With a dotting tool, a white polish and a black polish, create the eyes. The white polish is ‘Alpine Snow’ by O.P.I and the black is ‘Black to Black’ by Sally Hansen.
Go over all of your nails with your choice of top coat. My choice is the ‘Color Therapy’ one from Sally Hansen.
If you saw my last nail post you know that I’m really into matte nails right. The matte top coat is from Sally Hansen.
Thank you so much for reading my sunset owl nails post and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post of mine! I hope you have a wonderful week filled with lots of sunshine and confidence.
