Hi all,
Last Friday’s theme for WNAC was magenta & navy so here is my spin on some Magenta and Navy Nails, I hope you enjoy it 🙂
First off I put my regular base coat on all my nails eccept the ring finger. On my ring finger I applied the Sally Hansen simply peel of base. I have never used this one before so I’m really exited to see how well it is going to work. I will post an entire post all about that one so stay tuned.
After the base coat dried I applied two coats of China Glazes ‘Purple Panic’. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take a picture at this point so I don’t have a picture to show, sorry.
After that I used my regular chevron vinyls from Whats up Nails to tape of half my nails. The other half I painted with essie ‘aruba blue’.
Whenever you work with vinyls or tape in general it is really important to remove it right after you have applied the polish. Otherwise the polish will already have started to dry and removing the tape at that point might get messy.
Remember how I did the peel of base on my ring finger? That’s because of the next step I did. I added a fine line of the glitter polish ‘grape shifter’ from Sally Hansen on top of the design. I just drew a line over where the vinyl was before. And my accent nail was done!
This design is fairly easy to do but looks so nice in my opinion. You could, of course, do this in so many different colour combinations. I’m sure that I will make a similar one sometime in the future, I just really like the way it turned out. I hope you enjoyed my magenta and navy nails post and stop by some other time 🙂
Remember, if you would like to give this design a try don’t forget to tag me in your recreations, I would love to see them!! You can tag me in your photo either on Instagram or Twitter, which ever one you prefer 🙂
Have a lovely start into the new week!
xoxo
Cindy
