Hello!
And welcome to my negative space half moon nails. I haven’t done a negative space or a half moon mani in a while. So I thought this is the perfect idea for this weeks nail art.
First of, as always, apply a nice coat of base coat onto all of your nails. I use ‘Nail Repair’ from PRO-FX, this bottle has literally lasted me for like forever.
Take some half moon tape if you have any or use some plain old self-adhesive reinforcements. Stick them to the cuticle area of each nail and make sure to press them on really nice!
Next up, take a blue shade like ‘garden variety’ from essie. I decided to use two spring colours for these negative space half moon nails because I felt like it. Right after applying the polish make sure to remove the tape. Now go over all your nails with a top coat. This step is VERY important because the tape we are going to use again might take the first polish off. To prevent that from happening, be sure to do this step!
Apply some more self-adhesive reinforcements onto the nails. Try to make the distance between each colour more or less the same.
Alright, the final colour is ‘first timer’ from essie or you can use any other similar shade you might own.
To finish this design, apply one more top coat onto all the nails and that’s it. This design is finished. You can obviously make this design with any colour combo of your choosing. It also really doesn’t have to be a negative space one. You could make it a three coloured mani.
Thank you so much for reading my negative space half moon nails post! I really hope you enjoy it and that you might try to recreate them. If you decide to do so, please make sure that you tag me on the social media platform of your choosing.
