Happy Monday 🙂
Welcome to my new post that’s called colourful spring braid nails and as the title suggests I’m going to show you how I ‘braid’ my nails. Interested? Than keep on reading!
Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of my nails while doing them but I did take videos!! Yay!! So if you prefer to learn things by watching than click here to go to the video. If you prefer to learn through reading then don’t let me stop you. I am going to do my best to explain step-by-step what exactly I did here but I’m really not the best at explaining things so sorry in advance 🙂
The second thing I did after applying a base coat was two coats of ‘Highlight of my Summer’ by china glaze. Now to keep things more interesting (and to make it waaaay more complicated to explain) I decided to start on each nail with alternating colours. So the ring and index finger are the same and the ring, middle and thumb have the same design.
I’m gonna try to explain it based on the ring finger: After the two coats of green was dry I applied a line of the orange polish from the top right corner over across the nail. Here I had to make sure that the line is diagonal and not straight! Again, at this point I had to wait until the orange polish was dry before continuing. Then with the blue polish I made a diagonal line from the top left corner over the orange line. The best tip I can give you to make sure the braid looks even is to try and make the polishes meet in the middle if that makes any sense 🙂
Just keep continuing the steps above and  you basically got it. The video to these nails is on my YouTube channel so in case my explanation was as terrible as I think it was you can just click here and go watch the tutorial.
Thank you so much for reading and probably watching my colourful spring braid nails tutorial and I really hope you enjoyed it and that it somewhat made sense 🙂
I wish you a great start into the new week and may it be a short and sunny one!
xoxo
