Hello,
It is a sort of rainy day here so I am even more exited about this week 39 quote post than I usually am. Not sure why, but I really enjoy blogging when it’s raining or snowing. During summer time I enjoy it too, it’s just so much more fun somehow in fall and winter. To all my fellow bloggers out there, do you how have a time/season you enjoy blogging more than others?
In todays post I would like to share a quote that I think is an important mental attitude to have. ‘I would prefer even to fail with honour than win by cheating.’ – Sophocles
This has a lot to do with how you were raised from early on in your life. If your parents told you that cheating is okay, you probably still believe so. But loosing and being honest is so much more rewarding than winning by cheating ever will be.
To be honest, I think that it boils down to the fact that winning isn’t everything! Especially if you had to cheat to get there. You might fail more than just once in the same game, but that just makes the winning so much more exceptional.
Winning by cheating isn’t really winning at all. If you cheat, nothing after that is going to mean anything because you didn’t really earn that win. So keep this in mind the next time you want to take a shortcut and cheat! The right way might take a bit longer but it is so worth it.
Thank you for reading my week 39 quote post and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post of mine! I hope you have a wonderful week filled with lots of sunshine and happiness.
