Hey all!
I’m here today with a pink waterfall nail art post. I decided to make the waterfall in valentines day colours seeing how close we are to that day. Nude, pink and silver for me screams that and they also happen to look pretty good together if I do say so myself 🙂
First of all, you have to paint your nails with a pinkish nude polish like ‘bubble bath’ from OPI. Do two or three coats so that it will look opaque and even. I am honestly so in love with this shade on it’s own that I almost didn’t paint anything on top but as much as I didn’t want to, I decided to continue with my plan after all.
The second step includes a thin brush and a bright pink or red shade of your choosing like ‘red my fortune cookie’ by OPI. Take the thin brush and create fine lines that start at the cuticles of each nail. Make sure the lines thin out the longer they get so that it looks like they are fading away.
Now if you like the look as it is right now you can go ahead and be done. If you’d like your nails to look like mine, you have to go in there with a third colour to make the pink waterfall nail art even more special. ‘happy anniversary!’ from OPI is my pick for this job and I am very happy with that.
Finally, for the finishing touch apply a matte top coat over all of the nails. As always, you should apply a regular top coat first. If you like your design this way you don’t have to use the matte top coat obviously. This is just what I did in the end because I wanted to.
Use a top coat like ‘soft touch’ from essence to create the matte look. Pretty much every nail polish brand out there has its own matte top coat. You can pick which ever one that works best for you, you might have to try a couple before you find the ‘one’.
This design can be done in literally all the colours of the rainbow and beyond. You can do any colour combination you can think of and it’s going to look amazing. I also don’t think this is too difficult to do so if you are a nail art beginner, this could be a great design to start out with. It’s simple enough to do but the end result is great and it also looks like you can do some fancy nail art.
