Hey you
Today I am going to share with you how you can do these fun and very easy spring rainbow nails. Trust me, no nail art that I have ever posted was this easy to recreate. Okay, maybe calling it a nail ‘design’ is a bit far fetched seeing how it’s only two coat of polish on each nail. But I do believe that the end effect makes up for it and I honestly will wear this a lot this spring and summer season.
Enough chit chat, let’s get to it! As always, the first and most important step is to apply a base coat to all of your nails. I use the ‘nail repair’ polish by PRO-FX and I swear by it.
Alright, onto the colours I have on my nails. The pinkie is ‘Capacity to see Beyond’ by china glaze. On the ring finger is ‘Highlight of my Summer’ that is also by china glaze. ‘Birdy Reloaded!’ is the colour on my middle finger and this polish is from catrice. My index finger has the gorgeous shade ‘Sun of a Peach’ by china glaze on it and ‘Feelin’ Hot-Hot-Hot!’ by OPI is on my thumb. Don’t worry if the application isn’t perfect, you can always go in there with polish remover and a thin brush to clean that up.
I did two coats of each polish to make them opaque. Depending on what kind of colours and polishes you use, you might need more or less coats. Just make sure before adding another coat that the last one you applied is completely dry! If you don’t wait until that the whole nail will literally take FOREVER to dry.
Applying a top coat in the end is optional but I would highly recommend it because it will make the polish last way longer. Plus, if you made some tiny mistakes while applying the polishes, this step might make them go away.
