Hey you!
Pretty much everyone on Instagram has done the santa and suit nails at some point. I myself have never done them so I figured I will give them a go and I enjoyed how they turned out.
My nails here are 100% copied from Jema, go to her profile to look at her (much better) version.
To get started, paint your thumb, pinkie, ring, and index finger with your favourite red polish. For the middle finger, only paint the top third of the nail red. I have listed all the polish info at the end of this post for you!
Next up you have to colour in the bottom third of your middle finger with white and make dots at the end of it. Also make dots where the red polish ends. This creates the head of santa.
For the eyes use a black polish and a small dotting tool.
The nose is created with a peachy shade and a dotting tool. Very simple right?
For the santa suit put tape on both sides of the ring finger so that only a small line is free. Paint that line with a white polish. Remove the tape and make a small white line at the bottom of your nail.
Next up, take a small brush and a black polish to create the belt. For that, just make a line from one side to the other. Try to make this line as straight as possible for the belt to look good!
For the belt buckle, use a golden polish of your choosing and make a square over the black polish. Make sure the gold polish goes over the edge of the white polish into the red horizontally. The same way as the gold should go from red to red over the black vertically.
At the end, go over all the nails with your favourite top coat. Now you can rock these nails for as long as you want!
Polish information:
Red: ‘Big Apple Red’ – OPI
White: ‘Alpine Snow’ – OPI
Black: ‘Black to Black’ – Sally Hansen
Peach: ‘Floaties’ – Sally Hansen
Gold: ‘Game of Chromes’ – Sally Hansen
Thank you so much for reading my santa and suit nails and I hope you liked it. If you decide to recreate this look be sure to tag me in it so that I can see.
xoxo
