Hey you,
I hope you are having a good week so far. To start this week, I’m going to show you how I did these red & pink rose nails. They are perfect for the upcoming Valentines Day. But to be honest, I love these nails so much I would wear them any time of the year. Also, can you believe that this is my first time trying my hand at creating flowers? I always felt intimidated by how gorgeous and complicated the look so I never gave them a try. If you doubt yourself about creating flowers don’t! Trust me, if I can do them, so can you!
As always, apply a base coat of your choosing. I’m using the ‘Nail Repair’ one from PRO-FX. Then, paint your ring finger with a soft and light pink shade like ‘It’s a Girl’ by OPI. Use as many coats until the polish is opaque. All the other nails can be painted with a nice rich red like ‘Red My Fortune Cookie’ by OPI.
Take a thin brush and your red polish and create small curved lines. Start the lines very curved and small in the middle and the more you add, make the curves bigger and less curved. I’m sorry but I am terrible at explaining things 🙂 I do hope that my pictures are better than my writing. I will upload a video tutorial for this onto my YouTube channel soon so keep your eyes open for that.
Once you are happy with the amount of roses you made, go ahead and take a green shade like ‘Wonderland Green Card’ by CATRICE. With this shade we will be creating the leaves. Take the same small brush as before and create these ‘v’ shapes wherever you think they will look good.
To finish this design, go over it with your favourite top coat to make sure these nails will last you a long time and it also makes them nice and shiny. The top coat I’m using is the ‘Color Therapy’ one from Sally Hansen. Here’s a little close up of the ring finger. I know it’s not the best picture but I absolutely LOVE the way this design turned out!
Thank you so much for reading my red & pink rose nails post and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post of mine! I hope you have a wonderful week filled with lots of sunshine and happiness.
