Happy Manicure Monday!
Today’s nail post is one that is perfect for Spring: A purple and blue gradient! I really enjoy doing gradient on my nails. Even though it can get very messy the end result is always totally worth it 🙂 At least I think so, anyways are you ready for the purple and blue gradient tutorial?
Okay, so here it is:
First I painted my nails white as a base to make the colours I put on top more vibrant
Then I used some good old Elmer’s Glue and a brush to cover the skin around my nails. To make the glue come off easily you should apply a generous amount of it. The more you put onto your skin, the better you can take it off after you sponged the gradient.
I decided to make a purple and blue gradient so I put those two colours onto a make up sponge and made the gradient.
After I did the gradient and was happy with how it turned out I removed the glue with the help of tweezers.
Then I applied my favourite top coat to make the purple and blue gradient even prettier and last longer.
I guess this is not the usual spring mani but I do really like how it turned out. And it’s also the first time I used essie’s “play date”, what a lovely colour that is!
