Hey all!
Mondays are for christmas tree nails, right? This close to christmas I felt like creating something that would fit into this season. If you wanna know how I did these then just keep on reading.
Paint two coats of a white polish or until the coat is opaque. Depending on what kind of white you use this step might take a whole bunch of coats. This polish is ‘White On’ by Sally Hansen, it’s a very opaque shade.
Take a regular scotch tape and tape off a triangle shape on the nails. This will create the outline of the christmas tree and will help you stay within the line.
Next up, take a dotting tool and a light green polish of your choosing. Try to divide the dots even over the blank white space. The first polish is ‘Highlight of my Summer’ by china glaze.
Take another green polish, this time a medium shade. Create some more dots and cover up more of the white parts. This colour is ‘Turned up Turquoise’ by china glaze.
The last shade you should use is a dark green polish to make sure there is no more white parts left. This gorgeous shade is ‘Watermelon Rind’ from china glaze.
Apply a top coat over the nails to make the design last longer and to also make it look nicer.
Now that the nails are wet from the top coat, take a star shaped gem and apply on top of every christmas tree.
That is the end of the christmas tree nails design and I hope you enjoyed it. If you feel like recreating these nails, feel free to tag me in the photos, I’d love to see them.
Thank you for reading my blog post and have a wonderful week!
xoxo
