Hi all 🙂
In todays post I’m gonna show you how I did these black and red gradient nails. I didn’t actually use a black polish, it’s more like a very dark purple one but never the less it definitely looks black.
The red is ‘forever yummy’ from essie and the purple one is ‘lincoln park after dark’ from O.P.I. I got the design idea from the Instagram page of Kelli Dobrin and just had to recreate it 🙂 She used three different polish colours to create her look but I did mine with just two. Here is a step-by-step tutorial on how I did the black and red gradient nails.
First off I painted all my nails with the red polish, then I put the red and purple polish onto a sponge. Next up I pressed the sponge onto the nails to create the gradient. To make the gradient look more flawless and even apply a top coat.
I decided to go over the top coat with a matte coat to make the design matte. Unfortunately, the matte coat left some white dots on my left nails so I had to take a photo of my right nails to show you. Thankfully there where only tiny white dots on the right hand.
Thank you for reading my black and red gradient nails post and I hope you enjoyed it. As always stay tuned for more and let me know of any request or questions you might have.
Have a lovely week and stay safe!
xoxo
