Hey you,
In todays post I’m going to show you how I did these gorgeous black & nude Valentines Day nails. But before I start, let me tell you: You don’t need a Valentines to rock these nails! I know that Valentines Day isn’t for everybody and I understand. To each their own, I personally don’t spend any extra money on this day but I do love to make my nails look extra pretty 🙂
Start by applying a regular or a peel off base coat onto all of your nails. I am using the ‘Ready for Takeoff’ one by UNT. I am currently working on a separate blog post where I list all the positives and negatives of this peel off base coat so stay tuned for that.
Next up, take a nude polish like ‘Bubble Bath’ by OPI and apply as many coats as necessary to make the polish opaque. I usually a good 3 to 4 coats, depending on how opaque I want them to be. Then, apply a top coat over all of your nails. This will make sure that the nail stencils we will be using next can be removed easily.
Apply a triangle stencil on both your thumb, index and pinkie finger. For the middle and ring finger use the heart chain stencil from WhatsUp Nails. Then, go over it with a black polish like ‘Black to Black’ by Sally Hansen or any other black you own. Be sure to remove the stencils right after you apply the polish! If you wait too long the lines won’t be nice and smooth.
Apply a top coat of your choosing to make sure the nails stay nice for as long as possible. Also, make sure you wait long enough for the black polish to be completely dry before you do that. Not like me, I had no patience and that’s why my black polish is running down into the nude polish.
Thank you so much for reading my black & nude Valentines Day nails post and don’t forget to subscribe so you never miss a post of mine! I hope you have a wonderful week filled with lots of sunshine and happiness.
